The Wine Prospector at Catherine Store Wine & Liquor is a hide-out of sorts for wine geeks and budding enthusiasts relieved to have a wine merchant who can combine real expertise with unpretentious commentary on fine wines and artisanal spirits.
The old cinder-block building at the corner of Catherine, Colorado is a work in progress. “We have a real commitment to this place. And we have a real commitment to great wine. If people don’t want to buy some of the greatest wines in the world at really competitive prices from a place that looks like this, then it’s not about the wine. We are all about the wine.”
